Panel: 'Immersive Art Ecosystem in Poland'
A conversation about what makes up Poland's immersive art infrastructure today - from Wesoła Immersive, Kraków's new media art centre housed in a former hospital kitchen, through Art & Science Lab Poznań, a residency and workshop programme bridging art, science and technology run at the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center, to other initiatives which are actively supporting the growth of the industry. The panel looks at what tools, spaces and support artists working with immersion need today, and where the biggest gaps in this ecosystem still are.

Presentation: Sandra Gaudenzi: 'Impact storytelling in XR'
Dr Sandra Gaudenzi is a scholar in interactive and immersive narrative, co-curator of Image Ouverte festival, as well as the author of the WHAT IF IT methodology used to design interactive factual narratives. In her talk, she will challenge XR creators to think about impact not as an add-on to a project, but as something built into its narrative structure from the very start. She will discuss the shift from story-telling to “story-living" - experiencing a story rather than simply observing it, and how phenomenological frameworks for experience design help immersive creators shape the emotional and social resonance of their work more deliberately.

Panel: Tuning to 'Common Frequencies between Poland and Korea'
This panel accompanies Tuning to Common Frequencies, a Polish-Korean exhibition on view from 23 September to 6 October 2026 at CSW Zamek Ujazdowski. Bringing together six works by artists from Poland and South Korea, the exhibition explores how artificial intelligence, 3D scanning, immersive installation, sound and scent are reshaping how we understand the body, memory and community. The works range from speculative installations built around living organisms and generative sound, through multisensory VR cinema with wearable haptic interfaces, to video and documentary pieces examining deepfake technology, folklore, institutional memory and non-visual ways of navigating the world. The panel brings the exhibiting artists together for a conversation about what connects the Polish and Korean new media art scenes - shared "frequencies" across different cultural and technological starting points.

Presentation: Julia Makivic. 'Alternative Controllers: Art, Electronics, and Creative Engineering'
Julia will provide an overview of various alternative controller video games, what makes a game controller „alternative", as well as how hardware hacking and DIY electronic engineering can empower users to understand the technologies that shape our daily lives. She will provide an analysis of Sound Blok, a stackable musical instrument, describing how the user interaction, electronics, and visual design work in unison. She will also provide a step by step discussion of her design process for her latest work in progress, Brutalist Angels.

Panel: Ways of Hallucinating. Between Art, AI and Memory.
A panel on how artists creatively and critically engage with artificial intelligence in their work - not as a ready-made tool, but as material for experimentation, an object of critical reflection, or a co-author of the creative process. Jacek Nagłowski, Evi Stemou and Ivona Tau will speak about their individual approaches to AI in artistic practice. A discussion on where the line between tool and co-creator lies today, and how art engages with that question differently than the tech industry does.

Presentation: Claudia Montes. 'Unframed Collection and the business model of B2B XR distribution'
Claudia Montes handles content acquisition at Unframed Collection, the first B2B distribution platform built to bring curated VR/AR experiences to cultural institutions - museums, galleries and science centres. Founded by Lucid Realities and supported by Creative Europe, the CNC and BPI France among others, the platform offers a catalogue of works on art, science, history and social issues, along with tools that help institutions deploy immersive setups. Claudia will discuss what a "creator-to-institution" distribution business model looks like in practice, and what she has learned from building a market that didn't exist before.

Presentation: Channelers VR. 'How to produce an artistic 6dof project in Poland and not to go crazy?'
Channelers is a 25-minute VR experience set in the aesthetics of the Eastern Bloc during communist-era Poland, in which the user embodies a resident trapped in a brutalist apartment complex, guided by a mysterious non-human intelligence through a maze of corridors where concrete walls turn into portals to supernatural phenomena. Directed by Jakub Wróblewski and produced by the Monster Mind Studio the project was a finalist at the 9th Biennale College Cinema Immersive at the Venice Biennale. The production team will talk about what it takes to make an artistic 6DoF project in Poland, without the budgets or infrastructure common in the West, and what had to be let go of along the way.

Presentation: Hałas VR. 'Mixing theater, literature and XR'
HAŁAS VR is an immersive interpretation of Małgorzata Halber's novel Hałas (Noise), starring Marta Malikowska. Rather than guiding the viewer through a classic narrative, the piece invites them into an experience of overload, distraction and inner noise, combining VR, augmented reality and video game elements, and treating interaction itself as part of the storytelling. Malikowska leads the audience through a world of loneliness lived in constant connection, with irony and bitter sarcasm, confronting the reality of overstimulation — all rendered in an aesthetic drawn from zines, post-punk, retro games, glitch collage, memes and post-internet visual culture. The piece is directed by Krzysztof Grudziński and produced by Shootme, with the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw as event partner; it premiered there on 20–21 June. The project received funding from the Institute of Creative Ideas (Instytut Pomysłów Kreatywnych). The presentation will walk through how the team adapted a literary text into an interactive, multi-medium immersive form.
